June

June was a pretty crazy month!
I don't think I'll be able to keep up the pace the rest of this summer!

In the first week of June Dia left us.  We had a nice backyard going-away party for her at my mom's house.

Dia was leaving the next morning at 5 am, so we left the girls at my parents house so we wouldn't have to wake them up.  Dia put them to bed to say goodbye.
The last night dorkin' it up.

Mid June-ish I got to have a family baby shower.  My cousin Serena and I are due about 5 weeks apart and both of us are having a gender we've not had before, so it was great to have a few extra gifts!

Late June we got to go camping up at Timpooneke campground.  That's our tent nestled in the quiet woods where a bear had been sighted several times that day within a mile of us...
(I don't recommend tent camping at 7 months pregnant when it's 40 degrees outside and a bear is lurking around.  Makes for pretty lame sleep.)

My girls absolutely LOVE camping.  Meili is always covered head to toe in filth within a few minutes.

It was pretty chilly that week, (the week before it got WAY too hot) but no worries, grandma had gloves and jackets and hats for a blizzard.

Does this baby make me look fat?

Derek was on the job even in the wilderness.  Working on Grandpa's back problems.

Sofie and cousin Sienna enjoying aunt Deena's motorhome!

We also got to enjoy outdoor swim lessons everyday!
And again, those are MY beautiful mountains!

Sofie's teacher was so darling with her.  Sofie went from being terrified of getting her face wet to spending most of her time UNDER the water!

Then, of course, it wouldn't be summer in Utah without a good garage sale or two.
I hosted a garage sale on the hottest possible days...
Here are the ladies helping out. (can you tell by their hairdos that mom was pretty busy that morning?)

Pregnant mama roasting in the 100+ weather.  Zoe looks pretty pleased as well!

Ward Rodeo

One of the perks of living where we do is we get to enjoy other people's fun property!
This year our ward held a "rodeo."  It was more like a fair, but the girls had so much fun!

Fun carnival games

Mei and Sofie stick-horse racing!  Meili galloped the whole way, so darling.

Those are MY beautiful mountains!

Dia took this great picture.  I think it really captures Lehi in the spring!

I made Dia learn to rope herself a cow.  Such a great picture to take home to Hungary.  A real live cowboy and everything!

Sofie roping once she got over her fear of the big cowboy that accidentally ran into her.
