She walks!! (sort of)
If we can get her to hold onto things in both hands, it tricks her into thinking she's holding onto something for balance and she's more brave. How darling! My little girl is all grow'd up!

Sofie got this great push-toy for her birthday (which isn't for another couple of weeks, but her aunts and uncles couldn't wait!). She loves the music and is showing us some new dance moves. (by the way, Sofie's hair is apparently in transition right now too, just like mom's. Can't do much with the mullet...) Today Sofie took a couple of steps on her own, no hands!!! We had to trick her into doing it, but she did it! I wish I had caught it on film 'cuz I'm sure it won't happen again for a while. She's getting so grown up :)
This is what Grandma and Grandpa Adamson got to wake up to on this Sunday morning. I promise it was louder in real life. (also, yes, it did eventually land on her head and make her cry...) It looks like a great core workout!! I can't believe Sofie is 11 months old! She's learning all kinds of things like where my nose is (she understands the word, but doesn't say it), as well as what her "plug" is, and also her "hippo." What she still hasn't learned is that a sippy cup is a wonderful thing that she better get the hang of ASAP so I can stop nursing her!! She's getting braver on her toes and can walk with just one hand stabilizing her! I got about a week of Sofie sleeping through the night again, but now she's sprouting another tooth, so it's not so "through the night" anymore.
Now that Sofie finally has some energy and doesn't need to be held by mom 24/7, she's practicing the grown-up way of life...walking!! Well, not on her own just yet, but it shouldn't be too long.
"Please let me play on the laptop mommy!"
